Faculty Resources

Creating a study abroad program requires careful planning. The Office of Study Abroad is here to help guide you through this process, which should start at least a year in advance to ensure a successful program.

Faculty leaders take on certain responsibilities in addition to teaching and curriculum development.

  • Recruiting student participants for the program
  • Coordinating with the Office of Study Abroad for pre-departure health and safety planning and protocols
  • Managing allocated funds for the program
  • Serving as an on-site language resource for students where appropriate
  • Supervising students during the program
  • Owning and operating a smart mobile phone while in country with an international data and talk plan or phone rental with equivalent capabilities
